What Our Guests Say

Beautiful cottage

A beautiful cottage located in an amazingly rural area, yet with lovely towns like Framlingham, Halesworth and Aldeburgh nearby. The area also lent itself for excellent walks. The White Horse pub and the Village Shop and Café in Badingham are a must. The cottage was lovely and warm and the owners made us feel very welcome.

Peace and quiet

We loved our stay in Willow Cottage, it was just what we needed and was in a lovely peaceful spot. We spent several hours relaxing by the pond and at times could hear a pin drop. We walked to the local pub a few times which is around a mile away along very quiet country roads. Ales and food were great… The cottage is in a great location to explore some of the picturesque villages in that part of Suffolk. It was an easy journey to the coast for Southwold, Aldburgh and Walberswick etc…

Peaceful

Lovely peaceful and beautiful location. Fairly central to tour a lovely county, not far from the coast where we found some great walking. Accommodation cosy with underfloor heating and well equipped with all you need for a relaxing and enjoyable break.

Perfect

Exactly what I needed. Small but perfectly formed, private and pretty. There are nice easy walks accessible from the garden and it’s lovely to sit and watch the ducks and moorhens on the pond. Highly recommended.

Delightfully situated cottage

Delightfully situated cottage, private, quiet and comfortable, ideal for relaxing which is what we wanted. We also hired the Triumph Stag and fortunately it was a dry and sunny day and was the icing on the cake to our visit. Couldn’t have asked for for.

Heavenly stay!

We were delighted with Willow cottage in every way and the owners were great too. Many of our friends have asked for details following my posting of photos of it on social media. We will be back!

Escapism as its finest!

Thoughtfully converted stable with excellent attention to detail. From the bi fold doors opening on to your own deck, to the exceedingly well equipped kitchen and super comfy bed – we couldn’t fault a thing. Having driven through the snow to get there, we were greeted on arrival by Tina and Chris who had provided us lovely fresh eggs, milk, cookies and wine and gave us a full run down of the accommodation before leaving us to enjoy our beautiful surroundings. We had a 3 night stay and managed to fit in a trip to the Framlingham market (excellent to stock up on all the food for our stay), went a little further afield to Southwold Pier (a really lovely seaside town with arcades, great fish and chips and a lovely town centre) and spent a relaxing few hours in the local pub. I’d imagine you could definitely fit more in and there is plenty to do locally (lots of very helpful guides in the cottage – again with the excellent attention to detail from Tina and Chris), however we really loved the space in the cottage and spent some really great quality time together (no toddler for the weekend!!) lounging, playing games, eating lovely food and all in such gorgeous surroundings. If anything, the snow was a bonus! Apparently we’re fairly adept at making snowmen…. Would absolutely recommend this place and would not hesitate to return!

Amazing wildlife

We booked for a peaceful, scenic, quiet few days away and we got exactly that. The grounds of the cottage and the surrounding area are second to none, with amazing wildlife. The cottage itself is very cosy and relaxing, everything you need. Thank you very much for your kind hospitality and for the few treats on arrival. We hope to visit again soon.

Just what we needed!

Thank you for a lovely, comfortable, peaceful place to unwind. Just what we needed! The White Horse is as good as we hoped – a beautiful old pub, friendly and good food – not too expensive. The surroundings here are ideal – managed to catch squirrels playing and lots of moorhens – sadly no owls. Thank you for the very thoughtful ‘welcome gifts’ greatly appreciated. The home made mince pies are delicious. Will definitely recommend to those we know. Thank you again. Merry Christmas.

Enjoyed having breakfast on the decking

Tina and Chris, thank you for a lovely stay in your cottage, it has been lovely, everything thought of that you could need and thank you for all the flowers and other goodies. Enjoyed having breakfast on the decking watching the moor hens and drinks in the evening. Wish you all the best for the future with this wonderful cottage. Hope to return soon.

Beautiful setting

We spent a week here on the 23rd April 2017. This new to the market property is a little gem! Although compact it has every thing required to make your stay comfortable. Tina and Chris were there to welcome us and show us around and asked to let them know if we required anything else ,a very nice couple who have put a lot of time into this conversion . The outlook over the pond surrounded by Willow and Ash trees is lovely and although the weather could have been kinder we had two beautiful sunsets to watch from the decking (or the settee inside) If it is peace and quiet you are after you cannot go wrong .I am sure the ducks moorhen and rabbits will keep you entertained as they did us . We highly reccommend this cottage and hope to return.
